People for Ethical Practices in Congo advocates for ethical adoptions, family preservation, and ethical orphan care in the Democratic Republic of Congo in central Africa. PEP Congo creates a safe environment for the discussion of ethical adoption and orphan care practices in DRC. We strive for continued education for adoptive parents and agencies and ongoing support for organizations who work within DRC.

- Thorough information provided for children who have been abandoned so that they can be reunited with immediate or extended family
- Placement within DRC foster or adoptive families for children who cannot stay with their immediate or extended family
- Thorough information provided for children who have been abandoned so that, should adoption outside of DRC be necessary, biological parents are informed and have understood their rights
- Thorough investigations including (but not limited to) television advertisement, radio advertisement, fliers or social workers to search for a child's family members before child is "referred" for adoption
